Jamie Reid
Jamie Reid born in 1947 in England, he is a British artist and anarchist with connections to the Situationists. His work, featuring letters cut from newspaper headlines in the style of came close to defining the image of punk rock, particularly in the UK.
He was educated at John Ruskin Grammar School in Croydon. With Malcolm McLaren, he took part in a sit in at Croydon Art School.
Reid produced a series of screen prints in 1997, the twentieth anniversary of the birth of punk rock. Reid has also produced artwork for the world music fusion band Afro Celt Sound System.
This is one of his popular work call SEX PISTOLS
The way he created this one is kind of cool, the United Kingdom flat is tear and trying to fix it up with those needles.
England's Dreaming: Anarchy, Sex Pistols, Punk Rock, and Beyond.
His works are a little bit awkward looking at my side. I never seen those kind of art so.
Reid has been exhibiting and publishing prints with the Aquarium Gallery, where a career retrospective, May Day, May Day, was held in May 2007. He now exhibits and publishes work at Steve Lowe's new project space the Light Industrial Workshop in Clerkenwell, London.
He is also represented by Isis Gallery who look after Reid's extensive archive.

Agnes Decourchelle (Illustration work)
Agnes Decourchelle is one of the illustrator, works in eye candy illustration agency. I have seen many of his works on the internet, all his works are draw with the colour pencils. He doesn't use any other techniques like other artist. He just used the colour pencils but every works are really looking good and colorful as he uses colour pencils.
In this first picture wasn't his work, he took the picture of his work, on his work he put all the colour pencils and then took the picture. Colours represents the rainbow and happiness that's why I like his work, they all look colourful and brings me happiness. It is kinda hard to draw with the colour pencil directly without you draw with pencils. I have drawn a few pictures of the same technique like him. You can see it on my sketchbook page 23, I love to draw it with the colour pencil but sometime I found it hard to draw it directly with the colour pencils.
This is one of his picture that I've found it on the internet, this picture looks really good. He used most of the colour is sky blue in this picture, sky blue colour is cool colour which makes people happy. And in the picture I can see that 2 boys and a girl are in the bakery restaurant with a baker, they look so happy. What I don't like is, its too bright when you look at it first, it only brings happy in later.
This is another picture of his work that I like, it seems like a boy is trying to feeding the cat outside of his house in the field and they cat was running away from him. Here again in this work he also used the bright sky blue colour so I can see that its very cold in the picture. I like this picture because the way he drew the distance between the house and a boy, it turns out really great. What I don't like again in this picture was its too bright.
In my work I done the same technique as him, it was kinda hard to do it the same as his style so I traced the picture with the colour pencils.

Andy Warhol (Illustration work)
Andy Warhol was born on August 6, 1928 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania US. His birth name was Andrew Warhola and his nationality is American. He a really good was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker, he done fashion illustrations as well. His work was Print making, painting, pop art. His famous work are Chelsea Girls (1966), Exploding Plastic inevitable (1966 event) and Campbel's soup Cans (1962).
This is his fashion illustration, used of colour is bright and clean, look really good. I think he used ink and water colour. I also copied his style and drew it on my book page 24.I like his style because I can clearly see what is this picture talking about but for other artist they are not really showing exactly what is it and hard to think. I'm gonna make my final piece copy of his style and improve it a little bit to his style in my own way.
He died on February 22, 1987 when he was aged of 58 in New York US. Warhol's grave is at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. For the great artist, died age of 58 was really sad.

David Downton (Illustration work)
David Downton was born in Kent in the south of England in 1959. He studied at Canterbury (Foundation year 1977-1978) and Wolverhampton (BA hons illustration/graphics 1979-1981).
In 1984 he moved to Brighton and began his illustration career. He worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from advertising and packaging to illustrating fiction, cook books and, occasionally, fashion. He is an fashion illustrator, he is another artist just like Julie Verhoeven they both art are different. David Downton works are really great too, his works are more neat and clean. He is still alive and kept doing his work until 2009.
I like this picture is really nice the way he uses colour, the shape, tones and everything are perfect. It shows the dress style clearly, and looks hard to make it. The green colour is present the brave sign so if you look at this picture, the dress style look likes really soft even thou it in the picture.
This picture is another one of my favorite of his work, the design of the dress is really nice. He used this picture with an ink and the water colour. I also drew the same technique as his works, drawing with the ink and ink pen are kinda hard to draw it because after you have finish you have to wait till it get dry. If not the work won't turn out that professional.
This is concentrate on the face. I think this is the advert picture of Chanel brand. This is really cool and he just used the simple technique Ink, the shade and the tones are really good too. What i don't like about this work it, it is kinda look simple and there is no other colour are added, just drew it with the black ink.

Julie Verhoeven (Illustration work)
Julie Verhoeven is an artist, illustrator and designer based in London, the fashion industry as a designer, illustrator, creative director and tutor.Verhoeven has her own fashion label called Gibo, was launched in September 2002, and she went on to collaborate with global brands including, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Mulberry and H&M. Her works style are abstract. Most of her works are working with crayon and water colour. She teaches fashion at Respect University.
This picture is one of her fashion abstract style. She just used water colour and acrylic, the way she drew this picture is different with other fashion designer, she doesn't show it clearly. She is more concentrate on faces I think because I've seen lots of her works and every works I saw, I can see the face properly and every face style is not different. I really like the way she draw, it isn't show it clearly. Looks easy to draw it like her but it isn't that easy as I think when I draw it like her style.
This is another picture of her work, in this one both of the picture designs are cool and she used it many colors on this both pictures. Her works are different with the other artist that I have research for my illustration assignment. I done some of the work copy of her style, using water colour and ink, my works are not really the same as her style because I didn't really understand how to do it like her work but I tried my best to draw like her style.

Evaluation of my snowboard design
Evaluation
This is the evaluation about my second assignment brief. Assignment is about creating our own snowboard design. This assignment wasn’t that hard as the first projects because in the first project, it was like the very first experience of making my own projects and analyze about my works and other works. So that time was really hard for me but on this one I kind of know what I should do and need to do. While I was doing my first assignment sheet my teacher told me that next assignment is going to be creating snowboard designs.
I was wondering how we were going to do it our snowboard designs and was very exciting and interesting. I got the assignment brief after the half term, after I got the assignment brief I didn’t know how to make it. I didn’t know how to create my own design as well, but in my 2D lesson my teacher taught us how to make print making. At that time I didn’t know why we had to do lots of print making but I did a lot of print making as I can.
When all the print making dried, my teacher gave us the layout of the snowboard. I cut of the bit that I don’t need and use other bit to get my snowboard designs. I put it on the print making paper, and get the designs. I had 38 designs of the snowboard that I made it. Some are from my print making, some are from magazines and the other bits are I drew it on my own.
Snowboard designs are not easy as the first project, I have to think what kind of designs I should do will look good. While I was doing the projects I didn’t have much difficulty as like the first assignment. I knew that every assignment/projects I need to do research and analyze about the artist and my own works. I looked at the artists’ works, if I’m like their works I started looking for their history, biography and works. I done the research of the 6 artists and I wrote it on my blog http://maymtk.blogspot.com/.
I drew some pictures of the artists’ work as well in my sketch book. My works are not really connecting with my design but the shade, the colors, patterns, lines and structure are kind of relating to them. I am always wanted to improve my works; I never think my works are good that’s why I always try my best to get a good works like others. I am always learning from artists, friends and teachers how they do it to get the great works, good grade etc.
In this project I had learn how to make print making, learn about how to draw with ink and stick together on the paper, learn about shading the right place, I learn a lot about perspective drawing, understanding about the secondary colors, values, tertiary colors, tints and the shades. I also drew some still life drawing in my sketchbook. I am not happy with my designs for this because I didn’t have enough time and I want to do it properly to my final design like on the big paper or the board like my first project.
However I tried my best again for this projects, and I will always going to try my best for my every projects to get the grade that I want. I always spend more time with my works, and thinking what kind of design I should do. I think I done it well on this project even thought I didn’t have my good final design. And I want to do it a lot more and do good designs if I can have an extra time.
I've done my final pieces for my snowboard, I inspired the 2 artists work that I like most. I done one final piece inspired by the Piet Moderian, and the Murakami Takashi's work, I copied some of them work that I like most then I created on my own way and made my snowboard design. I have my own city scape, I done it in many ways first I traced some bit of the building that I like after that I photo copied it.
After I photo copied it I started shaded in that I wanna cut off, I cut off the bit that I shaded. Then I put it on the color paper, white paper and stick it on them. It turns out really great, before i done that I took some bit from my city scape to create my snowboard design. I done 2 snowboard design which its related with my city scape. This project was not hard as the first one but it also confused to think of an idea to get final piece. I'm kinda happy with my final pieces but I want to improve more to get a better grade and look good.
Piet Mondrain
Piet Modrian, his birth name was Pieter Cornelis Mondrian. He was born on 7th of March in 1872 at Amersfoort, Netherlands. His nationality was Dutch, his art is all about painting. He is the really great artist, his art works are look very simple but hard to draw. He done a lot works in his mother land, Paris, London and New York. I didn't really have much done search about this artist but I have seen all his works.
This is one of his work that I like, a product of his De Stijl period. Also made known to children on the PBS show Arthur in the second episode of the second season "Binky Barnes, Art Expert". This is a really nice picture, painting is really good and neat. The colors are my favorite, looks very simple. I drew this picture same as his in my sketchbook on the last page 80. Many people are using this design for nail art, trainer, clothes, cake, make up box, sock and everything. This is a popular design of his work. Even my final piece of snowboard design is has the same design as his work but I changed the colour different to what I like. I'm gonna improve it to look getting better than now, I'm gonna draw the back of the snowboard as well.
Piet Modrian's A journey through modern art video. This video is a short stories of his works that he had done in his life while he was a life. He was died on 1st February 1944 at Manhattan, New York United states. He was the really old artist that I know, other artist aren't that old and they are not the same style as his. Every artist has the different style on their own but his art work are really old style and the modern style.

This picture is Drawing Hand, 1948 by Maurits Cornelis Escher. This is one of my favorite picture of him. I like this picture because it looks like real, the shade shaded perfectly. His art are really hard to draw. He is one of the artist that I like, I like his art works because they are hard to draw and different with any other artist works.
Escher's Relativity (1953) This picture is really cool. It gives me headache first time when I look at this picture because it looks so confuse. But its very architectural and drawing was really great.
I drew some pictures of his work in my book on page 75 and 77.

He died when he was age 31 in New York City 1990 on February 16 but his memorial was held on May 4 1990.
In this pictures it looks like each characters are doing what they want to do. Look very peaceful and they seen having fun of what they are doing. He has used different color for each cartoon characters.
I have done the same thing or similar pictures of his work and like his works in my sketchbook on page 71 to 74. I like his works because his works are about cartoon characters like Malarkey but they both have different style.I've seen these characters of Keith works on the TV advert.
I decided to his work because I think everyone will like it and plus the colours of his work are making people happy.

From 2007 to 2009, Murakami’s first retrospective Murakami traveled from the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, to the Brooklyn Museum of Art in New York, the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt, and lastly the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. The exhibition earned wide-spread attention for, among other things, including a fully functioning Louis Vuitton boutique as one of the exhibits.
In 2008, Murakami was named one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People", the only visual artist included.
In September, 2010 Murakami became the third contemporary artist, and first Japanese, to exhibit his works at the Palace of Versailles in France, filling 15 rooms and the park with his sculptures, paintings, a decorative carpet, and lamps.
This is one of his work. This picture is very famous of his so I drew this picture in my sketchbook but I changed the colour of the background and changed some other bit that I don't like. I have done some works of his in my sketchbook on pages 52,53,56 and 68.
This is the video of his works in Japan, so many places and shop has his work pictures toys etc... This is the really great video.
"If my art looks positive and cheerful, I would doubt my art was accepted in the contemporary art scene. My art is not pop art. It is a record of the struggle of the discriminated people" Takashi Murakami

Evaluation
I wasn't that clear about what i had to do when i received the assignment brief. When I read all the assignment brief my first though was "Oh My God! I have to work really hard on this, ugh i don't think i can do it"; but i know i have to do it.I started work on my assignment straight after i got my assignment brief. I though it was going to really hard but it wasn't that hard like i though because i always work hard not to get behind of everyone.
First i wasn't that clear what to do for my final design, after i done everything. I felt really happy because i done everything before the deadline. I am really happy to work on this first assignment brief and i can't wait to work on next project assignment brief.
I had difficulties sometime like i don't understand what i should do,no ideas what to do for my projects, stressed out and confused about what color i should choose to look good for my projects. I had trip to go in the first week while i was start doing my project. That trip was to see the street art in Liverpool street for part of our projects. I took so many pictures from the trip on the trip.
I choose 2 street artist for my projects. After i choose them to do it,i started research their biography and everything on the internet then i copied some and print out.
I copied same pictures and drew simile like them. I done 7 artist on this first projects i think i had done really well because i worked really hard on everything. I drew a lot of Kara Walker's work,Stik,Si Scott and more artist. When i found some information about the artist i don't really get what it is all about and stuff so i read so many times to understand, that is the only difficulty i had.
On my final deisng I used 2 of Stik's art and panda from my mindmap on my sketch book,i drew picture of my necklace *M*,dog that i found it on the trip. I love drawing and painting even though i am not really good at,i am still improving my drawing skills every time. I was so worried about to draw it on the big board enlarged from the A3 sheet, but i made it and I'm happy. Then i believed that everything is possible, but it was really hard to draw it the first time when i enlarge it to the board.
I always spend more time with my work, assignment. Whenever i have free time, i think about how to improve everything i done it already. I always looked at my sketch book, every time when i looked at it i put more things to make it look better and better than now. I had to rush when i was writing this evaluation i thought i won't finish it on time but i did.
I completed everything on time, and i think i done it really well. I really enjoyed working on my assignment.
I can't wait for another assignment to work on.

Paul Cezanne is one of my favorite artist from France. He was born on 19 January 1839, he the one of great artist i like his art, i like all his paint works.
He done lots of works before he passed a way. He was still alive until 1906, he died when he was 67 years old. He died when he was painting outside. His art works are really interesting and they all look easy to draw and paint.
He had done lots of art works, paints, portraits and self portraits, Still life painting, he has used water color painting.

(Still life with Curtain-1895)
In this picture his painting skill is really good, oranges fruits on the table with jug and the table sheet is look like going to fall down they don't look clean, Looked messy. This is a really good picture. I found lots of pictures of his water color painting, portraits.
He had 4 main periods works, they are dark period in Paris 1861-1870, Impressionist period, Provence and Paris 1870-1878, Mature period Provence 1878 until 1890 and the final period in Provence 1890 until 1905.
This is his painting work 1869-1871 used with oil on canvas. He draws human, buildings, things around you can see and fruits. His self portraits are really good too.
(The Black Marble Clock 1869-1871)
{Paul Cezanne Said "I could paint for a hundred years,a thousands years without stopping, and i would still feel as though i knew nothing, i want to die painting".

Walker's artwork is reminiscent of Andy Warhol's pop art during the 1960s. Walker adored Warhol growing up as a child. Walker uses images from historical text books to show how African American slaves were depicted during Antebellum South.
In 1997 walker was 28 at that time, there was a lot of criticism because of her fame at such a young age and the fact that her art was most popular within the white community.

Walker was included in the inaugural exhibition of Sacra Mounche Gallery "The practice of Joy before death, It just wouldn't be a party without You" - February 2009
Kara Walker works are challenge to the traditional concepts of race based on thinking and to narratives of enslavement and oppression. Her art forces us to questions our understanding of power and how it manifests itself with time space between people.
I have done 5 of her works in my sketchbook they are in page 11,13,15,16 and 21. I just used the simple technique to all the pictures. I really like his art so i have done a lot of her works. I also have this short video of her talking about uneasy relationship with her imagination.

Michael Craig Martin is born in Dublin (Ireland) in 28 August 1941,his nationality is Irish. Michael Craig Martin was born to Irish parents, his religion is Catholics. Martin does drawing and painting, all his works are colorful and his art is different with any other artist. Craig Martin's style of detached conceptual. Craig Martin's personal life is he had wife Jan Hashey and had one daughter name Jessica Craig Martin. All his pictures are colorful and clean even though many different things in the one picture.
This is one of the picture of he drawn. I like this picture so i choose this picture to draw because it looks clear and this picture is talking about the world news. When i saw the picture for the first time, it looks colorful with letters. In the middle of the letter it has the world map ball. I looked at this picture about 3 times i can see its talking about news. Also the world is in the middle of it,so i can see that it is talking about world news. He used ten color in the picture.
The technique he used are very simple, constructed and then painted the color inside the letters.

Stik
Stik is my second favorite street artist. I have seen two, three of his drawing in east London (Liverpool street) when i went to the trip to take pictures of street art. He is a different artist with any other artist. He doesn't draw a letter, just draws the feelings, emotions of human. They all look very simple and can tell what they are talking about in the picture, what it is trying to say. His art is all about emotions and relationship between one person and other.
This first picture is showing that one and one person have some problem, so they are arguing and shouting each other to get win. Stik used spray paint and paint on this picture. I think this picture is really nice they way he drew is really simple clear and he has shown clearly what this picture is about.
I have so many pictures that i like it and want to show and tell what i think of them.
This is the second picture that i like from one of his work. There are 4 girls standing inside of the building and one seem like a baby but they all of them has their own feelings look shy, feel weird,no idea where she is,happy and the baby face is look like wants something or need something.
Stik just used color paints and spray paint on this picture, this picture is crowded and small but it looks clear and see what is saying.
This is the third picture that i like because this picture is about love. It could be friends, could be boyfriend and girlfriend. It looks very peaceful and warm when i look at this picture, because this is showing how they love each other and they will protect each other whatever things come to them.
He used spray paints and paints on every of his art,he used the paint roller. Stik is a really good artist. His art works are really amazing and different with any other street artist. He has the reason why he draws those kind of human emotional art. He was homeless for a while so he shows lots of about emotions of human.
He is from Hackney wick. He has moved west through shoreditch across London. He has been working in London for 10 years now.
This is the video of he is drawing on the wall.
