Keith Haring was born on 1958 Reading, Pennsylvania, Haring grew up in kutztown and was interested in art from an early age. He developed a love for drawing at a very early age. He was learning basic cartooning skills from his father and from the other popular artist around him.
He graduated High School in 1976 at Ivy school of professional Art in Pittsburgh (commercial art school). While he was in Pittsburgh, Haring continued to study and worked on his own and in 1978 had a solo exhibition of his works at the Pittsburgh Art and crafts Center.
Later the same year he moved New York City and attended in the school of visual Arts. Between 1980s and 89s he achieved international recognition and participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. His first solo exhibitions was held at the West bath Painters Space in 1981 and in 1982 he made his Soho Gallery. April 1986 he opened the Pop Shop, a retail store in Soho selling, T-shirts, toys, posters, buttons, magnets bearing his images.

He produced imagery for many literacy programs and other public service campaigns. In 1980s his work was featured in over 100 solo and group exhibitions. 1986 alone, he was the subject of more than 40 newspaper and magazines Articles. In this pictures it looks like each characters are doing what they want to do. Look very peaceful and they seen having fun of what they are doing. He has used different color for each cartoon characters.
I have done the same thing or similar pictures of his work and like his works in my sketchbook on page 71 to 74. I like his works because his works are about cartoon characters like Malarkey but they both have different style.I've seen these characters of Keith works on the TV advert.
I decided to his work because I think everyone will like it and plus the colours of his work are making people happy.
